|Yashwant Sinha was born on November 6, 1937 Patna. He is an Indian politician, ex- finance minister of India and foreign minister during the regime of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Sinha received his education in Patna, Bihar and did Masters in Political Science. He later on taught political science at the University of Patna. In 1960, he joined the Indian Administrative Services and held significant posts during his tenure for 24 years. He worked as District magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate for 4 years. He served Bihar government for 2 years, subsequent to which he was employed as Deputy Secretary by the Government of India. He has written an account of his years as finance minister with title “Confessions of a Swadeshi Reformer”.
