| Vinod Khosla, an Indian- American venture capitalist was born on January 28th 1955 in the city of Pune, India. A significant persona in Silicon Valley, he is one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems. In the year 1986, Khosla also became a general partner of the business enterprise resources firm Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers. |
He pursued degrees from the IIT Delhi, India (Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering), Carnegie Mellon University (Masters in Biomedical Engineering), as well as Stanford Graduate School of Business (MBA). He also made an investment in an Indian Microfinance NGO, SKS Microfinance that extends small loans to poor women in rural India.
At present, Khosla lives in Woodside, California, along with his wife and their four children. |
