| Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, commonly addressed as 'Veer' Savarkar was an Indian independence movement activist and a politician. He was credited with developing the Hindu National political ideology ‘Hindutva’. He was born on May 28, 1883 in Bhagur. He began his revolutionary activities when he became associated with Indian House. He used to travel extensively to carry out his revolutionary activities and became a forceful orator and writer, advocating Hindu political and social unity. |
