Thousand Pillar Temple |

| Thousand Pillar Temple is located in the Warangal district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This temple was built in 1163 AD by the Kakatiya ruler, Rudradeva. The temple is designed in the shape of a star and has no less than thousand pillars. It is one of the most outstanding examples of Kakatiya style of architecture and its pillars are intricately carved. |

| Inside the majestic Thousand Pillar Temple, there are three shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Shiva and Surya respectively. The temple is built on a raised platform that is about one meter above the ground level. The complex of the temple has lush green gardens and the ambiance is full of quietude and tranquillity. |
