Tarundeep Rai



Tarundeep Rai was born on February 22, 1984 at Namachi, South Sikkim. He is a distant cousin of famous Indian football player Baichung Bhutia. Tarundeep was attracted by archery, while witnessing a group of men who were involved in blind archery. He succeeded internationally and bagged the individual gold in the Asian Grand Prix Archery Championship at Bangkok in 2004, where he defeated lee Seung Young of Korea. This was just a beginning and was followed by a number of successes in the upcoming years. In 2005, Tarundeep Rai has been conferred with the Arjuna Award.
