| T.N. Seshan is the 10th Chief Election Commissioner of India and served the office from December 1990 to December 1996. He was born in Tamil Nadu, India and is famous for his inclusion of a number of electoral reforms and his uprightness. Earlier, he has served the Joint Secretary, Ministry of space, Director, Ministry of Atomic Energy, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Space and many such prominent posts. He has confronted a number of politicians due to his aim to ensure free and fair elections in different parts of the country. In 1996, he was conferred with the Magsaysay Award for Government Service. |
