T. C. Yohannan


Thadathuvila Chandapillai Yohannan was born in the Indian state of Kerala in 19 May, 1947. He is one of the famous Indian athletes in the field of long jump. He was selected to represent India in an International Athletics event held in Singapore, where he won the gold medals in both long jump and triple jump. In 1975, he won the gold medal in the Athletic Meet held at Tokyo.
Apart from being an athlete, Thadathuvila Chandapillai Yohannan is also a diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering. He has received several honorary awards that include the prestigious and honourable "Arjuna Award" from the Government of India in 1974 and a merit award from the Government of Kerala.
