Subhash Chandra Bose, commonly known as Netaji, was one of the most vigorous activists during the pre-independence era. He was born on 23rd January 1897 in Cuttack. He had a strong influence of Swami Vivekananda's teachings and was famous for his patriotic zeal as a student. He joined the Indian Civil Services in England and later joined the Indian National Congress. The Indian National Army was formed under his leadership.
