Even though India is the most powerful country amongst all South-Asian nations, it still maintains very cordial relations with all the countries falling in this region. In addition to the peace movements that India has always supported, there have been efforts in the past where India has lent a helping hand in times of trouble.
Bangladesh, British Indian Ocean Territory, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka fall into the region of South Asia and it has always been the effort of India to have peaceful ties as well as good trade relations with its neighbours. With all these countries, except the British Territory, being emerging economies, India has always extended its hand in the upheaval of the other nations which are small or less powerful. |
