|Shobha De, an Indian columnist and novelist was born on January 7th 1948 in a Maharashtrian Saraswat Brahmin family. She pursued her degree in psychology from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai with a degree in psychology. In the year 1970, she switched to journalism after carving her niche as a model. She founded as well as edited magazines such as Celebrity, Stardust, and Society.
|She lives in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai with her husband, Dilip De and their 6 children. Currently, she works as a freelance writer as well as columnist for several magazines and newspapers. Some of her acclaimed works are inclusive of Superstar India - From Incredible to Unstoppable, Second Thoughts, Strange Obsession, and Uncertain Liaisons.
