Shahi Paneer

Shahi Paneer is a thick, creamy and spicy Indian cuisine. It is primarily a Punjabi dish mostly popular in northern parts of India. It is believed to have originated from Mughal era as it is a royal dish enriched with dry fruits, cream and butter.
To prepare this dish is quite easy. Heat ghee and add onion, ginger, green chillies, dry fruits and cardamom. After frying them for 3 to 4 minutes, add tomatoes, curd and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and when cool, add half cup of water and blend them into a puree. Then, heat ghee and add the gravy, salt, chilli powder and garam masala. Boil to get thick gravy. Heat the gravy and add paneer, milk and boil for 3 to 4 minutes before serving. Garnish with grated paneer and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
