Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary

Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the state of Rajasthan and covers an area of 800 sq. km. It is basically a tiger reserve. There are around 35 tigers in Sariska wildlife sanctuary. The area was declared a sanctuary in 1955 and became a National Park in 1979.

Apart from tigers, sambhar, chital, wild boar, hare, nilgai, civet, four-horned antelope, gaur and porcupine can also be viewed. Sariska is also a home for many birds like gray partridges, gray partridges, peafowl, white-breasted kingfishers, crested serpent eagles and quails.

You can opt for the jeep safari to enjoy the wild animals in their natural form. The best time to visit Sariska wildlife sanctuary is October to June.
