S.D. Burman
Sachin Dev Burman was born on October 1, 1906. He was one of the most famous Bollywood music composers. He was also an all-time great Bengali singer and composer. He began his training in classical music under his father, Nabadwipchandra Dev Burman. Later, he continued his training under K. C. Dey, Bhismadev Chattopadhaya and Badal Khan.
S D Burman has composed music for more than 100 Hindi as well as Bengali movies. One of his outstanding musical score among his later films was Abhimaan, released in 1973. He went into coma after recording a song for the film Mili. He died on October 31, 1975 in Mumbai.
