The Rollers resemble crows in size and built, but are more closely related to the kingfishers and bee-eaters.
These are birds of warm climates. They nest in a tree-hole, and lay 2-4 eggs. These are insect eaters, usually catching their prey in the air. They often settle on significantly on their prey while hunting. The group gets its name from the aerial acrobatics that some of these birds perform.

They have a great colorful appearance. The blues and browns colors are predominating. Their two inner front toes are connected, but the outer ones are not connected. The bird’s feathers exhibit a variety of colors and it is known for this feature only.
