The rhinos are a large, primitive-looking mammal. Rhinos can be identified with a horn nose. Since 1970 the world rhino population has declined by 90 percent, with five species remaining in the world today, all of which are endangered. There are currently approximately 2,400 Indian Rhinos surviving.

It is generally a peaceful animal, but gets fearsome and aggressive occasionally. They are generally 12 feet tall and weigh around 2 tons.
The diet of the rhino consists of grass, fruit, leaves, branches, aquatic plants, and cultivated crops.

Rhinos generally remain submerged in the mud as they are prone to sunburns. So, by staying in the mud they get some respite from the sunburn.
