Rajinikanth
Rajinikanth, born on December 12, 1950, is one of the most influential movie stars in the Indian film industry, specifically in the Tamil film industry. He is popular for his mannerisms and stylised delivery of dialogue. For his immense contribution to the Indian cinema, he was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, in 2000. Apart from Tamil films, he has also acted in 173 movies including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and Bengali.
Rajinikanth has won the Filmfare awards twice during his acting career. Besides, he has also received the Raj Kapoor Award and the Best Actor Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2007. Recently he was selected as the Indian Entertainer of the Year for 2007, by NDTV.
