| To make this dish, rice is first of all steamed or boiled. After that tamarind juice, groundnuts or peanuts, coriander, coconut, red chilli, curry leaves, jaggery, pepper, mustard, fenugreek, turmeric, asafoetida, urad dal, and cumin are mixed to it. Then it is cooked and mixed thoroughly till the water thickens. This dish is particularly prepared during festivals such as diwali. |
