Pinjore Garden
Pinjore Gardens is also known as Yadavindra Gardens. It is located 20km from Chandigarh in the Indian state of Punjab. It was built in the 17th century. The garden lies on the foothills of the lower Shivalik ranges. This fascinating Mughal garden is a famous picnic spot that features a mini zoo, a Japanese garden, plants nursery, and historic palaces. Fountains are switch on during the evening every weekends.
Special programs are arranged within this park during Baisakhi festival in April and for Mango Festival held in June and July. According to the Hindu mythology, it is believed that the Pandava brothers had rested during their exile in this place.
