Phoolwalon Ki Sair

Phoolwalon ki Sair is an annual festival of the flower sellers, celebrated in the monsoon season. The celebration starts with a parade starting from the Jog Maya temple through the Mehruli Bazaar and ends at the tomb of Saint Qutab Bakhtiyar Kaki. Floral veils are offered at both the places.
It is a three day festival and both Hindu and Muslims takes part in it. Cultural programs take place at the Jahaz Mahal near Mehruli Bazaar, where qauwwali and kathak dance performances are organised. The first two days a procession led by fire dancer takes place in the streets of Mehruli. The third day is reserved for performances such as Ghazal and poetry recitations.
