People's Republic of China

Both the countries being members of the East Asia Summit now once had a very tense relationship which even led to a war in 1962. India and China had a series of issues relating to border and territories which was sorted in 2003 with India recognising Tibet a part of China and China recognising Sikkim a part of India in 2004.

Presently, both the countries have signed treaties and pacts and want to improve relations which tap into the resources of each other wherever there is potential. Trade has become very easy from China and this has led to a growth in the Indian as well as Chinese Economy. For this, numerous visits have been made to and fro of the ministers of both the countries.
