Parimarjan Negi



Parimarjan Negi is the most recent addition to the list of Indian chess players. He was born on February 9, 1993. He started playing chess at the age of four and gradually participated in the national levels. He earned his first international achievement in 2002, when he won the Asian Under-10 championship at Tehran.
In July 2005, Negi became the youngest International Master of the world by scoring his third and final IM norm at the International Open in Sort, Spain. Besides, in 2006, he became the second youngest Grandmaster, when he earned his third and final GM norm at the Chelyabinsk Region Super final Championship at Satka in Russia.
