|Padmakar Bhatt, known as Padmakar is a well known poet of the Riti Kaal of Hindi Literature. He was associated with the family of scholars and poets, who were called ‘Kavishwar’. His father was a Brahmin and patronized by the courts. Padmakar was born in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Being a scholar of Riti Shastra, he was an excellent writer of Hindi and deal with very many themes like love, bravery, devotion with exquisite expressions that were most appropriate to the context. Some of his most famous works are Padmabharan, Jagdwinod, Prabodh Pachasa, Ganga-Lahri and Himmatbahadur Virudawali. In fact, his dohas were mainly about Bhakti and Shringara.
