Rang de Basanti' is a film about awakening. It is about standing up for ones beliefs.
A British documentary filmmaker, who is determined to make a film on Indian freedom fighters based on accounts taken from diary entries of her grandfather (a former officer of the British Army in India), requests a group of youngsters who are indifferent to the state of affairs in India to act in her film. While they agree and enact in her film, government's corruption is responsible for a dear friend's death in an airplane crash. This event transforms them into a group of individuals who are determined to avenge his death. |
