Orissa
Orissa is the eleventh largest state by population and ninth largest state by area. It is located on the east coat of India by the Bay of Bengal. Bhubaneswar is the capital of this state. The state is famous for its storehouse of mineral wealth, cultural treasures, long coastline and several great architectural sites.
Some of the archeological sites of great important are the Jagannatha Temple of Puri, the Lingaraja Temple of Bhubaneswar, the Barabati Fort of Cuttack and the Sun Temple of Konark. Thousand of tourist visits to these places every year. The Hirakud Dam, which is known to be one of the largest dams in the world, is located in Orissa.
