Petroleum is found off the coast of Maharashtra, Gujarat and in Assam. However, it can just meet 40% of India's demand. Rising amount of natural gas are discovered often, especially off the coast of Andhra Pradesh. Gold is mined in Kolar gold mine in Karnataka and Uranium in Andhra Pradesh.
