It has a large elephant and bison population. It also hosts a variety of animal species along with approximately 250 species of birds.
Mammals in the Park include Nilgiri tahr, Nilgiri langur, bison, leopard, Asian elephant, wild boar, deer, dhole (wild dog) and porcupine. Over 250 species of birds have been identified in the Park. Marsh crocodile, star tortoise, forest calottes, geckos, common rat snake, spectacled cobra, Russell's viper and the Indian Python are some of the reptiles that are found in this national park.
The ideal time to visit the Park is from September to May. |
