|Muhammad Hidayatullah was born on December 17, 1905 in Lucknow, India. He was the first Muslim Chief Justice of India and second one, who held the post of the President of India. His father was former Chief Justice of Hyderabad. He did his graduation from the Trinity College Cambridge England, with M.A. Degree from Cambridge University. For further education, he opted for the London School of Economics. He stood first in the Bar Examinations in Hindu and Mohemeddan laws. He started his career in advocacy and was appointed as the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh in 1971. Later on, he became the first Chief Justice of India in 1968 and acting President of India in 1969.
