Manmohan Desai
Manmohan Desai was born on 26 Feb 1936. He was a famous director and producer of Indian films. He got his first break with the film Chhalia (1960), produced by his younger brother, Subhash Desai. Later, Subhash produced many films and Manmohan used to direct them. In the 1970s and 80s, he directed number of films that were box office hit.
Desai directed 20 films in his directing career that span of 29 years. Out of the 20 films, 13 were stupendous hits. ‘Toofan’ was his last movie which turned out to be unsuccessful. He was the producer of this film. Manmohan Desai was ailing when he died on 1 March, 1994.
