|Malyalam is one of the Dravidian Language is very widely used in southern India. Predominantly it is used in the state of Kerla. This language is very old and is spoken by 36 million people. Malyalam has been placed on the 29th position of the chart of most spoken languages in the world. Malyalam language is also used by Indians and other people residing in the countries like the Arab States, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
The literature of Malyalam dates back around 9 AD. The language uses a large proportion of Sanskrit vocabulary. But inputs of Portuguese, Arabic and, in more recent times, English has also been found.
