Lloyds Botanical Garden

The Lloyd's Botanical Garden is situated in Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was established in 1878. It is a distant extension of the Indian Botanical Garden, Kolkata. This garden is famous for the wide variety of species that are native to the Himalayan hilly region, Sikkim and other neighbouring regions. Besides, several other rare and exotic plants are also preserved here. The garden has a separate conservatory of cacti and Succulent section that has around 150 species.
Other notable collections of this garden are Orchids found especially in the Eastern Himalayas and Himalayan flowers. The garden also has a glass house thick with alpine flowers.
