Lata Mangeshkar
Lata Mangeshkar is one of the most famous playback singers in the Indian film industry. She was born on September 28, 1929. She started her career in 1942 that spanned for more than six and a half decades she sung in more than 980 Bollywood films. She has also sung in twenty regional languages. She is the second vocalist to receive the Bharat Ratna.

Lata has won several honours and awards that includes Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), Bharat Ratna (2001), three National Film Awards, four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards and Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award (1993). She was also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records from 1974 to 1991 for having made the most recordings in the world.
