| Kundan Lal Saigal was the superstar of Bollywood. He was an actor as well as singer of the Indian cinema. He was born on April 11, 1904. In 1930, he was hired by B.N. Sircar, head of the Calcutta-based film studio, New Theatres. ‘Mohabbat Ke Ansoo’, released in 1932, was the first Urdu film in which he acted. He has also acted and sung in several Bengalis films produced by New Theatres. |
