Kishore Kumar
Kishore Kumar was a prominent Indian film playback singer and a comic actor. He was born on August 4, 1929. Apart from singing and acting, he was also a successful lyricist, composer, director, producer and screenwriter. He has sung in many Indian languages and holds the record for most number of Filmfare Awards won for Best Male Playback Singer.


Kishore was one of the top during his singing career and ruled the playback singing in Bollywood and Bengali films. He was one of the three leading male Bollywood playback singer along with Mukesh and Mohammed Rafi from 1950s to the middle of 1980s. He died on October 13, 1987 of a heart attack in Mumbai.
