Khazan Singh



Khazan Singh, born on 6th May, 1964 in Delhi is arguably the most outstanding swimmer of India. He made his debut in the competitive swimming and bagged five gold medals in 1981-1982 at the National School Championship. He won five gold, two silver and one bronze in the National Aquatic Championship held in Delhi in 1982.
 
Apart from all the national achievements, Khazan also earned international laurels. The main highlight is the silver medal at the Asian Games in Seoul in 1986. In 1985, at the Kathmandu South Federation Games, he won gold medal in the 100m free style and a bronze at the 1988 Asian Swimming Championship in Beijing. In 1984, Khazan was awarded the Arjuna Award.
