Khajuraho Festival


Khajuraho dance festival is held every year from 25th February to 2nd March. It takes place at the open-air auditorium at the front of the Chitragupta Temple and Vishwanatha Temple in Khajuraho. The seven day long festival displays some of the major classical dances of India that includes Odissi, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri and Kathakali. It is awesome sight to see performers dancing against the surroundings of the magnificently lighted up temples of Khajuraho.
Several renowned dancers and performers come from the different states of India to participate in this festival. Apart from dances, visitors can also find several craftsmen trading off their indigenous arts and crafts.
