Keoladeo National Park
The Keoladeo National Park is one of the Asia's finest birding areas located in Rajasthan. It was formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. It was developed in late 19 century and was the private hunting reserve of the Magharajas of Bharatpur.
Today, it is the major wintering areas for a huge numbers of aquatic birds from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Siberia and China. Around 364 resident and migrant species of birds, including the rare Siberian crane and the common demoiselle, have been sited in this park. Other animals including Golden Jackal, Striped Hyaena, Fishing Cat, Jungle Cat, Nilgai, Sambar, Blackbuck and wild Boar can also be sited here.
