Keoladeo National Park
The Keoladeo National Park, earlier known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is situated in Rajasthan, India. It is a famous avifauna sanctuary. Over 380 species of birds are known to have made the National Park their home. It was declared a protected sanctuary in 1971. It was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ruddy shelducks, gulls, northern shovelers, northern pintails, coots, garganey, tufted ducks and common pochard are some of the rare species that are found in this national park. More than 44000 trees are planted here and they provide shelter to the birds that reside in the park.

The park is open throughout the year but one can enjoy the sight of migratory birds from November-March.
