Kaziranga National Park
The Kaziranga National Park is located at the heart of Assam and partly lies in Golaghat and Nagoan district. It covers a vast area of 430 sp km along the riverside of Brahmaputra. It is the home of the largest population of one horned rhinoceros. Apart from that various other animals such as tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds can also be sited here.
In the year 1974, it was declared as a National Park. The park is generally open for tourist from November to April. Elephants ride to move around the park and boat ride along the park are some of the main highlight of the park.
