| Kailash Temple is known to be the largest monolithic structure. It is located at Ellora and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is considered as one of the most amazing architecture of the history which is exquisitely sculpted. The temple is divided into four main parts- the body of the temple, the entrance, the shrine and the courtyard. |

| The architecture of the temple exhibits Dravidian features and was carved out of single rock. It was built in the 8th century and is notable for its vertical excavation. The temple has number of images of animals, deities and scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Ellora festival of dance and music is held every year in the month of December at the Kailash temple. |
