Kabir was a spiritual poet whose work greatly influenced the Sufi as well as Bhakti movements of India. He was born in 1398 and died in 1448. He was a Bhakti saint who sang the principles of seeing all of humanity as one and is often interpreted as Guru's Grace. He was a weaver by profession and ranked among the world’s greatest poets.
Kabir is one of the most quoted authors. The Holy Guru Granth Sahib consists of more than 500 verses by him. He is also held in the same reverence as the other ten Gurus by the Sikh community. He is also considered as an early northern Indian Sants.
