Jaya Bachchan
Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan was born on April 10, 1948 in Jabalpur and is an Indian actress. She is an alumna of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. She is married to Amitabh Bachchan, a legend in Hindi cinema. She started her acting career with a small role in Satyajit Ray's Bengali film, Mahanagar at the age of 15. After attaining initial success in West Bengal, she moved to Mumbai and became successful after Guddi. Later, she starred in several hit Hindi movies.
Jaya has won several awards during her acting career. Of late, she became active in politics with the Samajwadi Party and has been a Member of Parliament, representing Rajya Sabha till lately.
