Jasmine Flower


Jasmine is a shrubby deciduous vine and its flowers are very fragrant. The leaf of Jasmine are pinnate and opposite and the leaflets are pointed and ovate. Jasmine has a number of species. Among them the common Jasmine is native to India and China. Some of the other varieties of Jasmine are Angelwing jasmine, River Jasmine, Confederate Jasmine, Primrose Jasmine, Pink Jasmine, Yellow Jasmine, Madagascar Jasmine and many more.
Jasmines are usually white in color. The common Jasmine is the national flower of Pakistan. The Jasmine blossoms blooms most of the year. The flowers are followed by small oval red fruits with one or two seeds. The shrub is usually propagated from seed.
