|The constitution of India has announced Hindi as the official language of the country. Prior to this announcement English was used as official language. Hindi is the mother tongue of India. Hindi language has been adapted from its parent language that is Sanskrit. In ancient India, at the time of sages, Sanskrit was the most spoken language but slowly it was transformed in Hindi and today Hindi is the major language which is spoken nearly in all the parts of the country. Hindi language uses the devnagari script. India has various religions and every religion follows one particular language. This is the reason that officially Hindi, English and Urdu are used as the national languages. There are various dialects and forms of Hindi language.
