Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. He was born on December 22, 1666 in Patna, Bihar. On 11 November, 1675, at the age of nine, he became the tenth guru of Sikh after succeeding his father Guru Tegh Bahadur. He was not only the leader the Sikh faith but was also a warrior, a poet and a prophet. His establishment of the Khalsa is considered as the most important event in the history of Sikhism. With the Mughals he fought twenty defensive battles. |
