Guru Dutt
Guru Dutt was an Indian film actor, director and producer. He was born on July 9, 1925. He is renowned for the making of some of the most luminous lyrics and artistic films of the 1050s, starting with his masterpiece, Pyaasa released in 1957. This film was rated as one of the best 100 films of all time by the Time Magazine.
Navketan's Baazi was Guru Dutt's first film released in 1951. Baazi was an immediate success followed with Jaal and Baaz. He is also credited for introducing Waheeda Rehman to the Hindi cinema. In 1964, he acted in his last film Sanjh Aur Savera opposite Meena Kumari. On October 10, 1964, Guru Dutt was found dead in his apartment at Pedder Road in Mumbai.
