Cocks are immediately recognizable by their grayish plumage with fine patterns; the elongated neck feathers are dark and end in a small, hard, yellowish plate.
The diet of Grey Jungle fowl should include a mixture of small dog kibble, seasonal pulp seed fruits like pomegranate, pumpkin and hot peppers.
The Grey Jungle Fowl reaches the level of sexual maturity at approximately two years of age. It usually breeds between the months of March -July. The natural habitat of Grey Jungle Fowl is forest undergrowth and bamboo thickest. |
