Golgappey
Golgappey is a street snack mostly popular in Northern India. In many places it is also known as pani-puri. It comes with tiny, hollow, pillow-shaped crisps. It is tapped into to make a hole. The hole is then filled with teaspoons of cumin-dusted potato, a crunchy mix of red chick pea and mung bean, and sweet tamarind-date sauce.
Golgappey is available in two variations that are ‘atte wala’ and ‘suji wala’ puries. The taste of this mouth-watering snack is spicy and sour. The sweet chutney added to every piece lessens the pungency. It is an absolute delight and is savoured by a large population of Indians.
