Eden Gardens Cricket Stadium is the oldest cricket ground of India and is referred to as the Lord’s of Asia. It has witnessed its very first, first class match in 1917-18, while first Test match was played in January 1934. Since that point of time, it has hosted 34 Test matches, more than any stadium in India. It has a Club House that is office of the Cricket Association of Bengal. It has the largest cricketing facility in the world. It comprises of floodlights and has seating capacity of 100,000 spectators. |
