| The caves of Edakkal are truly a magnificent storehouse of pre-historic forms of art. The carvings and etchings on the walls of the caves are more than 5000 years old. Most of the carvings found on the walls are of animal figures, humans and the tools used by humans that assume that these caves were inhabited at various stages in history. |
