Dilip Kumar
Yusuf Khan, commonly known as Dilip Kumar was born on December 11, 1922. He is a legendary actor of Indian cinema and a former Member of Parliament. In 1944, he started his film career and has starred in some of the most successful films starting from late 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1980s. He was the first actor to receive a Filmfare Best Actor awards and hold the record for most number of Filmfare Awards won for that category.
In 1980, Kumar was appointed Sheriff of Mumbai, an honorary position. He is the recipient of some of the most prestigious awards for his cinematic excellence that includes the Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the highest civilian award of Pakistan, the Nishan-e-Pakistan.
